Section Manager, EHS

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Section Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to lead our EHS department at our manufacturing facility in Senai, Johor. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our EHS management systems and culture. You will ensure full compliance with all Malaysian regulations and international standards while driving our sustainability agenda. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the EHS team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with all local and federal EHS regulations (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, etc.).
• Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction.
• Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Foster a proactive safety culture through training, communication, and employee engagement programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental / Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certified Safety and Health Officer (SHO) registered with DOSH Malaysia.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian EHS regulations (OSHA 1994, EQA 1974, FMA 1967).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
• Experience in the electronics or communications solutions industry is highly preferred.
