Are you an experienced and vigilant Security Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer looking for a dynamic role in Permas Jaya, Johor? Our client, a leading organization in the Information & Communication Technology sector, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their advanced Security Operations Center (SOC) team.
In this critical position, you will be the first line of defense against sophisticated cyber threats. You will be responsible for the continuous monitoring, analysis, and protection of complex IT infrastructures. Operating state-of-the-art security tools—including advanced SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and EDR solutions—you will detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents with precision and speed.

Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection tools on a 24/7 operational basis.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of security events to identify false positives and genuine threats, performing root cause analysis for confirmed incidents.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance incident response playbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and security documentation.
- Manage and fine-tune security monitoring tools and detection rules to improve threat visibility and reduce alert fatigue.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and assist in the prioritization and remediation of security weaknesses across the network and systems.
- Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs), malware, and anomalous behavior using threat intelligence and behavioral analytics.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices (secure-by-design) into all infrastructure projects and deployments.
- Generate detailed incident reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to effectively communicate security posture and risks to management.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Equivalent hands-on experience is highly valued.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) as a Security Analyst or Security Monitoring Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with leading SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, ArcSight, ELK Stack) and log management.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), network security architecture, and common cyber attack vectors (DDoS, Phishing, Ransomware, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation of security tasks and log analysis.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP, or GIAC/GCIH are highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is a distinct advantage for team collaboration.
