Are you a dedicated agricultural professional looking to make a meaningful impact on regional food security and local farm development? The Municipal Government of Baliuag, Bulacan, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Agriculturist to join our team in the Ilocos Region.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in implementing government-led agricultural programs, providing technical assistance to local farmers, and ensuring the sustainable development of our agricultural sector. You will collaborate with local stakeholders to improve crop production, soil management, and post-harvest efficiencies, contributing to the economic growth of the community.
This position is ideal for an expert in agrarian reform, crop science, or agricultural engineering who is passionate about public service and rural development. You will be at the forefront of driving innovation in regional farming practices, helping our farmers transition to modernized, climate-resilient systems.
Tanggung Jawab
- Plan, organize, and execute provincial agricultural development programs and projects.
- Provide expert technical advice to local farmers on modern crop management and pest control.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of regional agricultural initiatives and prepare detailed performance reports.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops for local agricultural workers on sustainable farming techniques.
- Collaborate with local government units and NGOs to secure resources and funding for farming community support.
- Conduct field inspections to assess soil health, irrigation efficiency, and overall crop quality.
- Support the formulation and implementation of local ordinances regarding land use and agricultural development.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Relevant Professional License (RA 1080 - Agriculturist Board Exam).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in agricultural extension work or government program management.
- Deep understanding of the agricultural landscape in the Ilocos Region.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage with community leaders and rural stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on climate-smart agricultural solutions.
