PAUL Bakery is seeking a dedicated Senior Cook to join our vibrant team at the Singapore River location. As a Senior Cook, you will be at the heart of our kitchen operations, ensuring that the legacy of French culinary excellence is reflected in every dish served.

In this role, you will go beyond simple food preparation. You will act as a guardian of quality, a mentor to junior staff, and a key contributor to our kitchen's efficiency. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a meticulous eye for detail. From mastering authentic French recipes to maintaining impeccable hygiene standards, your contribution will be vital to our continued success.

  • Lead the daily preparation and execution of French-inspired menu items ensuring strict adherence to PAUL’s global standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Manage kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure timely service and consistent food quality.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing food wastage.
  • Ensure the highest levels of kitchen hygiene and food safety in compliance with local regulatory standards and HACCP guidelines.
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe testing, and cost control initiatives.
  • Conduct regular checks on kitchen equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

Kualifikasi

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume French bakery or restaurant.
  • Possess a professional certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • Valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of French culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in supervising a kitchen team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
