Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer looking to drive the backbone of digital infrastructure? Singapore Telecommunications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Data Centre infrastructure team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end electrical engineering lifecycle of our mission-critical data centre facilities, ensuring maximum uptime, energy efficiency, and compliance with the highest global standards.
As part of a world-class telecommunications leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and maintain complex power distribution systems, UPS units, backup generation, and cooling plant infrastructure. We are looking for a proactive technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to sustainable engineering practices.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the design, engineering, and commissioning of electrical power systems for large-scale data centre projects.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance (O&M) of critical power infrastructure, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and emergency diesel generators.
- Perform regular health checks, load monitoring, and root-cause analysis (RCA) on all electrical incidents to ensure continuous uptime.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to manage site upgrades, retrofits, and capacity expansions.
- Ensure all site operations strictly adhere to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines and international electrical codes (e.g., SS 638, IEC standards).
- Develop and implement predictive maintenance schedules and energy optimization strategies to improve Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).
- Review technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments for ongoing construction and operational activities.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data centre operations, critical facility management, or MEP consulting.
- Proficiency in high-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of Tier III/IV data centre standards (Uptime Institute) and mission-critical design principles.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical failures and lead emergency recovery operations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage external contractors and internal teams effectively.
