YSQ International Pte Ltd is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Engineering Manager (Tobacco Background) to lead our engineering operations at our strategic manufacturing hub in Batam, Kepulauan Riau. This is an outstanding contract opportunity for an industry veteran to shape our engineering future. You will take complete ownership of the engineering strategy, overseeing all technical activities from planning and coordination to execution and optimization. Your leadership will directly impact our production efficiency, product quality, and overall operational excellence.
As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be the driving force behind our engineering transformation. You will manage a substantial CAPEX portfolio, lead cross-functional project teams, and implement best-in-class engineering practices. Your deep understanding of tobacco manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory compliance will be essential in maintaining our market leadership. You will champion a safety-first culture while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Tanggung Jawab
- Direct and oversee all plant engineering operations, including maintenance, utilities, facilities, and capital projects.
- Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies to enhance production capacity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of engineers and technical supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP, HSE, and all regulatory standards specific to the tobacco manufacturing industry.
- Manage the full lifecycle of CAPEX projects, from conceptual design and budgeting to execution, commissioning, and handover.
- Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to drive process optimization for new product introductions and existing product improvements.
- Champion automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives to improve operational agility and data-driven decision making.
- Monitor and evaluate emerging engineering technologies and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. A Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering experience, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership position.
- Mandatory experience in the tobacco industry, with deep knowledge of cigarette manufacturing, primary/secondary processing, and packaging systems.
- Proven expertise in project management, with a successful track record of delivering large-scale CAPEX projects on time and within budget.
- Strong grasp of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Experience working in Batam or similar industrial zones within Indonesia is a significant advantage.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
