We are seeking a visionary and technically proficient Senior Environmental Sustainable Design (ESD) Engineer to join our dynamic multidisciplinary Buildings team in Asia Pacific. As a key member of Ramboll's global network of experts operating under the Environ Consulting Services banner, you will lead the integration of sustainable design principles across complex building projects in Kuala Lumpur and the wider region.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and manage ESD (Environmental Sustainable Design) inputs on building projects from concept through to completion and post-occupancy evaluation.
- Conduct advanced building performance simulations including energy modeling (IES VE/EnergyPlus), daylight analysis (Radiance/ClimateStudio), thermal comfort, and CFD studies.
- Drive certification processes for major green building rating tools (e.g., LEED, GBI, GreenRE, BREEAM), ensuring project teams are aligned with targets.
- Develop and implement holistic sustainability strategies that reduce operational and embodied carbon, water consumption, and construction waste.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and technical staff in sustainable design principles, simulation software, and industry best practices.
- Prepare compelling technical reports, design specifications, and client presentations to articulate complex sustainability concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and structural engineers to integrate passive and active design solutions optimizing whole building performance.
- Support business development activities, including proposal writing, client meetings, and identifying new opportunities for ESD services.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of proven experience in ESD engineering or building performance consultancy for architectural projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in building performance simulation software such as IES VE, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, or OpenStudio.
- Accredited Professional (AP) status with a recognized green building council (e.g., LEED AP, GBI Facilitator, BREEAM Assessor) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, energy standards (MS 1525, UBBL), and international sustainability frameworks.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and strict deadlines effectively.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
- A passion for sustainability, climate action, and driving the green building agenda in Malaysia and the APAC region.
