Are you an experienced geologist with a passion for discovery? PT IBMC Business Group is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Senior Exploration Geologist to spearhead our high-impact early-stage exploration program in the Solomon Islands. This is a unique opportunity to lead field operations in a remote, geologically rich environment under a competitive FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) roster.
As the Senior Exploration Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in designing and executing exploration strategies, interpreting field data, and ensuring the success of our mineral discovery initiatives. We are looking for a professional who thrives in field-based settings, possesses strong technical leadership skills, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and geological best practices.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and supervise early-stage exploration programs, including geochemical and geophysical mapping.
- Plan and manage drilling campaigns, including core logging and sampling protocols.
- Provide expert interpretation of geological data to define resource potential and target generation.
- Coordinate with logistics and site teams to ensure FIFO operations run efficiently and safely.
- Mentor junior geological staff and supervise onsite contractors to ensure quality control.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drill logs, and resource estimates for executive review.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations in all remote field operations.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in mineral exploration, specifically in early-stage projects.
- Strong technical background in field mapping, geochemical sampling, and diamond drilling supervision.
- Proven ability to manage remote site operations effectively.
- High level of proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, or ArcGIS).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural, remote environments.
- Valid certification in relevant safety standards for mining operations.
