About the Role
Our client, a prominent player in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector, is seeking a high-caliber Senior Industrial Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence within high-volume SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) production environments. You will be responsible for spearheading process optimization, capacity planning, and lean initiatives to ensure the highest levels of manufacturing efficiency.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and manage comprehensive process optimization projects for SMT and PCBA production lines to maximize throughput.
- Perform detailed Time and Motion studies to establish accurate labor standards and identify areas for efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Design and optimize plant layouts to improve material flow, reduce waste, and enhance ergonomic safety for operators.
- Conduct rigorous capacity analysis and resource planning to align production capabilities with customer demand.
- Collaborate with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to ensure seamless transition from design to mass production.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed reports for senior management on production performance and cost-saving initiatives.
- Drive cost-reduction strategies through waste elimination and improved equipment utilization.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of professional experience in an EMS or SMT manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt certification is highly advantageous).
- Strong expertise in PCBA manufacturing processes, including soldering, inspection, and testing phases.
- Proven ability to use AutoCAD or similar software for facility layout and design optimization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-centric approach to decision-making.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling software.
