ByteDance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Intelligence Tools & Platform Engineer to join our Video and Edge division in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of media content distribution infrastructure and technology platforms that power some of the world's most popular video-on-demand and live streaming services.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining intelligent tools and platforms that support ByteDance's extensive video and edge computing infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions that enhance content delivery, optimize performance, and drive innovation across our global platform.
The Video and Edge division powers ByteDance's media content distribution infrastructure, serving millions of users worldwide. Tanggung Jawab
- Design and develop intelligent tools and platforms for video content distribution and edge computing infrastructure
- Build and maintain scalable systems that support VOD and live streaming services at global scale
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and implementation strategies
- Optimize platform performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency across distributed systems
- Lead technical architecture decisions and mentor junior engineers on best practices
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation solutions for platform operations
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical production systems
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++
- Strong experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and containerization technologies
- Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale platform solutions
- Experience with video streaming technologies, CDN, and edge computing is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with data pipelines, real-time processing frameworks, and machine learning infrastructure is a plus
