The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a highly qualified Senior/Lead Economist to join our Financial & Markets Surveillance team. As a key member of our economic research division, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing financial stability risks, conducting cutting-edge research, and providing critical insights to inform MAS policy decisions on emerging risks in the financial markets.

- Lead research on financial stability risks and emerging trends in global financial markets
- Develop and implement sophisticated economic models to assess systemic risks
- Analyze market data and economic indicators to identify potential threats to financial stability
- Prepare high-quality research reports and policy recommendations for senior management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of economic research with policy objectives
- Represent MAS at international forums and contribute to global financial stability discussions
- Mentor junior economists and contribute to the development of the team's research capabilities
Kualifikasi
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in economic research, financial analysis, or policy development
- Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and economic modeling
- Deep understanding of financial markets, banking systems, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
- Demonstrated experience in conducting independent research and producing high-quality analytical reports
- Knowledge of Singapore's financial sector and regulatory environment is highly desirable
