Google is looking for a Senior Lead Origination and Partnerships to spearhead clean energy initiatives across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. In this pivotal role, you will drive the power origination strategy that underpins Google's massive data center expansion, ensuring we meet our ambitious clean energy and carbon neutrality goals.
You will act as the primary bridge between Google’s technical needs and the external energy market, identifying opportunities for renewable energy procurement and strategic partnerships. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complex regulatory and market landscapes of Southeast Asia. You will lead negotiations, manage high-stakes relationships with utility companies and independent power producers, and structure Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) that deliver reliable, green energy. By leveraging your deep understanding of the energy sector, you will help Google reduce its carbon footprint while supporting the digital infrastructure that powers the world.

- Lead the end-to-end origination process for power and renewable energy projects across the APAC region.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for securing clean energy to meet Google's growing data center demands.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with utility providers and independent power producers (IPPs).
- Structure and close complex Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other energy contracts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align energy strategies with technical requirements.
- Monitor and analyze energy market trends, regulatory changes, and policy developments in key markets.
- Represent Google at industry conferences and external stakeholder meetings to enhance brand visibility and partnerships.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in power origination, renewable energy, utility partnerships, or related fields.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing large-scale energy deals or PPAs.
- Deep knowledge of the energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and technical requirements in the APAC region.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate project economics and financial models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet with partners and project sites across APAC.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or other local languages is a strong advantage.
