As our Senior Maintenance Technician, you will take full ownership of the maintenance lifecycle for our high-speed packaging and production lines. Your primary mission will revolve around providing close supervision on the progress of ongoing project work and routine maintenance, as well as leading critical upgrading and repairing work. By closely monitoring complex equipment performance data and physical conditions, you will proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate, effectively avoiding costly unplanned downtime and maintaining peak production throughput.
What You Will Do
In this hands-on, high-impact position, you will serve as the go-to technical expert for the entire maintenance team. Your daily responsibilities will encompass troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system failures. You will be responsible for implementing robust preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, managing spare parts inventory, and actively driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Your Expertise
We are looking for a hands-on expert who possesses deep, practical knowledge of industrial machinery, including PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi), VSDs, sensors, and mechanical drive systems. You will collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to optimize processes, maintain accurate records using our CMMS, and ensure strict compliance with all company safety standards and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in mentoring junior technicians and fostering a robust culture of safety, precision, and operational excellence.

Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise and coordinate the daily progress of maintenance and upgrade projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts for complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures on packaging machinery.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics to proactively identify failure risks and implement corrective actions to avoid downtime.
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring equipment issues and implement permanent solutions.
- Oversee the installation, modification, and upgrading of production machinery.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Mentor junior technicians and promote a culture of continuous improvement and strict safety compliance.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment (packaging industry highly preferred).
- Strong hands-on knowledge of PLC systems, servo drives, VSDs, and industrial control panels.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and bearings.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work in Senai, Johor, and flexibility to support shift operations when necessary.
