Join Singapore Management University's dynamic team as a Senior Manager for Knowledge Transfer & Commercialisation. This pivotal role drives the strategic commercialization of SMU's intellectual property portfolio through innovative Proof-of-Concept (POC) development and industry partnerships. You'll orchestrate high-impact knowledge transfer initiatives including conferences, forums, and collaborative events that bridge academic research with market applications. The position requires a visionary leader capable of transforming cutting-edge research into viable commercial opportunities while fostering strong relationships with industry stakeholders, startups, and government agencies. You'll oversee the entire commercialization lifecycle from ideation to market entry, ensuring alignment with SMU's innovation ecosystem and strategic objectives.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design and execute knowledge transfer strategies to promote SMU's IP portfolio and research capabilities
- Lead Proof-of-Concept (POC) development projects from ideation to market validation
- Organize industry forums, conferences, and networking events to facilitate commercial partnerships
- Develop and manage stakeholder relationships with industry partners, investors, and government bodies
- Oversee commercialization workflows including IP protection, licensing agreements, and revenue generation
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for technology commercialization
- Prepare progress reports and impact assessments for knowledge transfer initiatives
Kualifikasi
- Master's degree or PhD in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years' experience in knowledge transfer, technology commercialization, or IP management
- Proven track record in managing Proof-of-Concept development and commercialization projects
- Strong network within Singapore's innovation ecosystem (industry, startups, government)
- Expertise in intellectual property management and licensing agreements
- Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with commercialization frameworks in higher education or research institutions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
