Are you a seasoned commodity trading professional with deep expertise in the energy sector? Pilmico Foods Corporation is seeking a high-caliber Senior Manager, Physical Trader (Coal) to join our dynamic team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for orchestrating end-to-end back-to-back physical coal flows, ensuring operational excellence, and optimizing supply chains to meet the rigorous demands of our clients and plant operations.
As a leader in this space, you will leverage your market intelligence and network to identify arbitrage opportunities, manage logistical complexities, and mitigate risks associated with international coal trade. We are looking for an analytical mind capable of translating complex market data into actionable trading strategies that drive profitability and ensure long-term energy security for our operations.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute comprehensive physical coal trading strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and margin performance.
- Manage end-to-end back-to-back coal transactions, including negotiation, contract execution, and logistical coordination.
- Identify and capitalize on market arbitrage opportunities through deep analysis of regional and global coal price differentials.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including miners, logistics providers, and industrial end-users.
- Monitor global energy market trends, geopolitical shifts, and regulatory changes to adjust trading positions proactively.
- Oversee operational risk management, ensuring compliance with trade finance, shipping, and quality specification standards.
- Collaborate with internal plant teams to forecast demand and ensure seamless fuel supply continuity.
- Provide expert market commentary and reports to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in physical commodity trading, specifically within the coal or energy sector.
- Proven track record of managing profitable trading books and executing complex physical cross-border flows.
- In-depth knowledge of maritime logistics, coal specifications, and standard international coal trading contracts (e.g., SCoTA).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in market modeling and risk management tools.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment.
- Strong network within the Asia-Pacific coal industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional projects.
