Micron Semiconductors is seeking a visionary Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) – Process Development, CMP to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our NAND Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for pioneering the next generation of Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) processes that enable industry-leading memory solutions.
The Role
In this high-impact technical leadership role, you will drive the development, characterization, and transfer of CMP modules from concept to high-volume manufacturing. You will define the technical roadmap for CMP consumables, tools, and processes, working directly with our most advanced NAND technology development teams. Your expertise in polishing mechanics, surface chemistry, and defect metrology will directly influence the performance and reliability of Micron's product portfolio.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the development and qualification of CMP process modules for leading-edge NAND nodes (e.g., 200+ layers).
- Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize polishing rates, selectivity, within-wafer uniformity, and defectivity.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for complex CMP process excursions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Integration, Defect, Metrology, and Yield Engineering teams to meet stringent device performance targets.
- Evaluate, select, and qualify new CMP slurries, pads, cleaning chemistries, and conditioning technologies.
- Develop and sustain Advanced Process Control (APC) frameworks and SPC systems to ensure robust, high-yielding processes.
- Define process specifications and best-known methods (BKMs) for transfer to high-volume manufacturing fabs.
- Represent the CMP process development team in global technical reviews and strategic planning sessions.
Kualifikasi
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, with a majority focused on CMP process development.
- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of CMP fundamentals, including consumables (slurry, pad), metrology, and post-CMP cleaning.
- Proven experience in developing processes for advanced technology nodes (< 20nm). 3D NAND experience is highly desired.
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and visualization using JMP, Python, or similar statistical software.
- Experience with CMP tools (Applied Materials, Ebara) and advanced metrology (KLA, Nanometrics).
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of technical mentorship.
