The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior/Patient Service Associate to join our Admissions team on a part-time basis. As an ambassador of the hospital, you will ensure that every patient and family member experiences a warm welcome and efficient service during the admission process. Your key responsibilities include patient registration, identity verification, insurance coordination, bed allocation, and providing necessary information to patients. You will work closely with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless patient journey from registration to discharge.
Who We Are Looking For:
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Prior experience in a healthcare or service industry is preferred. You should be comfortable using computers and hospital information systems, and able to maintain accuracy under pressure. - Greet and welcome patients and their families at the admissions counter.
- Register patients for admission, ensuring accurate data entry into the hospital system.
- Verify patient identification, insurance coverage, and required documents.
- Coordinate with clinical departments to assign beds and facilitate admission.
- Provide information on hospital policies, patient rights, and facility amenities.
- Handle patient complaints and escalation appropriately to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with regulations.
- Assist in discharge planning and post-admission follow-up as needed.
Kualifikasi
- GCE 'N'/'O' Levels or Diploma in any field; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Prior experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a patient and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital admission processes is a plus.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends and public holidays when needed.
