VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Pte Ltd is a world-class semiconductor foundry dedicated to driving technological innovation and manufacturing excellence. As a key player in the global semiconductor supply chain, we are expanding our advanced manufacturing capabilities in Singapore. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior / Principal Facilities Engineer (Gas & Chemical) to join our dynamic Facilities Engineering team based in the East Region of Singapore.
The Role:
In this critical leadership position, you will report directly to the Facilities Manager and serve as the technical authority for all Gas and Chemical systems within our state-of-the-art fabrication facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of systems handling bulk gases (N2, O2, Ar, CDA, H2), specialty gases (SiH4, NH3, NF3, GeH4, etc.), slurry, and chemicals. You will lead complex capital projects from conception through commissioning, managing EPC contractors and design consultants to deliver world-class infrastructure on time and within budget.
Key Impact Areas:
- Safety & Compliance: Champion a zero-incident safety culture. Ensure all gas and chemical systems comply with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health Act, Major Hazard Installations (MHI) regulations, NEA requirements, and SCDF fire codes.
- Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvements to increase system uptime, optimize chemical and gas consumption, and reduce operational costs.
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on UHP piping specifications, valve manifold boxes (VMBs), gas cabinets, chemical distribution units (CDU), and abatement technologies (thermal scrubbers, wet scrubbers, CORS).
- Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of facility projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, contractor supervision, FAT, SAT, and qualification.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the design, specification, and procurement of gas (bulk, specialty) and chemical delivery systems for new and existing facilities.
- Supervise and monitor EPC contractors and design consultants to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Develop and implement standards, operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance strategies for gas and chemical systems.
- Champion safety by ensuring strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, Major Hazard Installations (MHI) regulations, and environmental standards.
- Manage the lifecycle of gas and chemical systems, including troubleshooting, capacity planning, and system upgrades to support ramp-up and ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering, EHS, and Construction teams to integrate tools and facilities seamlessly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, reduce costs, and optimize energy consumption.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety awareness.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in facilities engineering, specifically in gas and chemical systems within the semiconductor, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in EPC management, including contractor supervision, design reviews, and commissioning.
- In-depth knowledge of specialty gases (e.g., SiH4, NH3, NF3, CF4), bulk gases (N2, O2, Ar, CDA), and ultra-high purity (UHP) piping systems.
- Strong understanding of chemical handling, hazardous materials storage, and exhaust abatement technologies (e.g., scrubbers, thermal oxidizers).
- Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with diverse teams and external partners.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly regarded.
