Join Leica Microsystems as a Senior Process Engineer and play a pivotal role in advancing our precision manufacturing capabilities. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to spearhead critical initiatives in new product transfer, startup, and process/product re-engineering. In this position, you will be the bridge between R&D and mass production, ensuring that innovative technologies transition smoothly into high-volume manufacturing environments.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will optimize existing production workflows to enhance yield and product quality while implementing cutting-edge methodologies to meet global market demands. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teamsâincluding R&D, Quality Assurance, and Operationsâto troubleshoot complex engineering challenges and implement robust, scalable solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and maintaining Leica Microsystems' reputation for excellence in the optical and microscopy industry.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the end-to-end transfer of new products from development stages to mass production environments.
- Manage the startup, commissioning, and stabilization of new manufacturing lines and equipment.
- Execute process and product re-engineering projects to eliminate bottlenecks and improve overall efficiency.
- Analyze production data and process parameters to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, validate, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure regulatory compliance and operational consistency.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to implement rigorous testing protocols and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the production team to foster a culture of excellence.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in process engineering within a high-tech or precision manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), product startup, and process re-engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
- Familiarity with optical components or precision instrument manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced teams.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., CAD, MES systems) and data analysis tools.
