VIVAX METROTECH Sdn Bhd is a global leader in the design and manufacture of utility locating equipment, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Purchasing Executive to join our expanding team in Batu Kawan, Penang. As a key player in our supply chain department, you will be responsible for driving cost-saving initiatives, managing strategic vendor relationships, and ensuring the seamless procurement of materials required for our high-precision manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a proven track record in procurement, vendor contract negotiation, and inventory management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production and logistics, to optimize procurement workflows and improve overall cost efficiency. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure consistent availability of materials at optimal costs.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with local and international suppliers.
- Monitor and manage vendor performance, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and safety standards.
- Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and maintain accurate inventory levels to prevent production bottlenecks.
- Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with internal auditing requirements and company policies.
- Lead and mentor junior procurement staff to ensure high operational efficiency within the team.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the electronics or manufacturing sector.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed procurement decisions.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS or CPSM) is considered a distinct advantage.
