Connor Manufacturing Services is looking for a results-driven Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in Kulai, Johor. As a key member of our quality department, you will partner with the APQP team, customers, and suppliers to drive flawless new product launches and exceed customer expectations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust quality systems to ensure product conformity and process efficiency. You will lead advanced quality planning activities, including FMEA, control plans, and process capability studies. You will also perform supplier audits, manage corrective actions, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve quality challenges. Your technical expertise will guide the implementation of statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA) to enhance manufacturing performance.
You will serve as the primary quality liaison for customer and supplier interactions, ensuring clear communication and alignment on quality standards. Your ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive root cause analysis will be crucial in preventing recurrence of issues. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a proactive quality mindset across shifts.
To succeed, you must have a solid background in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and quality auditing. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and relevant certifications (CQE, Six Sigma) will set you apart.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product launches.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to define quality requirements and ensure alignment.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
- Monitor production processes using statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
- Manage supplier quality performance through audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to management and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant quality standards.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC methodologies.
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in root cause analysis techniques (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Certification in quality engineering (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
