The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is seeking a talented (Senior) Research Engineer to lead the development of adaptive robot manipulation pipelines. Tanggung Jawab

  • Design and implement advanced control algorithms for robotic manipulators to achieve precise and adaptive movements.
  • Develop and optimize simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, MuJoCo) to test and validate manipulation pipelines before deployment.
  • Integrate sensors (force/torque, vision, tactile) with robotic hardware to enable real-time feedback and adaptive behavior.
  • Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and optimize the robustness and efficiency of manipulation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to deploy solutions in pilot manufacturing plants.
  • Conduct literature reviews and stay abreast of the latest trends in robotics, mechatronics, and AI to drive continuous improvement.

Kualifikasi

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, with a focus on robotics applications.
  • Proven experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) and kinematics/dynamics modeling.
  • Experience in developing and testing robot manipulation strategies, grasping, or object manipulation algorithms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present research findings and technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
