A*STAR's Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) is at the forefront of advanced manufacturing research. We are currently looking for a highly skilled (Senior) Research Engineer to join our Advanced Fabrication Services (AFS) and Precision Component Processing (PCP) teams. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and conduct research on advanced fabrication services (AFS) and precision component processing (PCP) for aircraft interior applications.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for composite and metallic components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry partners to drive technology adoption.
- Perform process simulations, characterization, and testing to validate new methodologies.
- Supervise project activities, ensuring milestones are met within budget and timeline.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and publications for dissemination.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of innovation.
Kualifikasi
- PhD or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- For Senior Research Engineer level, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing R&D.
- Strong background in fabrication technologies such as CNC machining, additive manufacturing, or composite processing.
- Proficiency in process modeling, simulation, and data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Abaqus, Python).
- Demonstrated track record of publications and/or patents is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
