We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Fellow to join our vibrant research team at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

In this role, you will lead the development of cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solutions and energy models within an artificial intelligence-based analysis framework. You will be at the forefront of integrating machine learning techniques with traditional engineering simulations to optimize energy systems, improve predictive accuracy, and solve complex engineering challenges.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of international experts, contribute to high-impact research projects, and have the opportunity to mentor junior researchers. This position offers the chance to work on exciting applications in aerospace, energy, and mechanical systems, with access to state-of-the-art computational resources.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing CFD models, conducting simulations using advanced software like ANSYS Fluent and OpenFOAM, developing AI algorithms for data-driven modeling, and publishing findings in top-tier journals. Tanggung Jawab

  • Develop and implement advanced computational fluid dynamics models for complex engineering systems, focusing on energy efficiency and performance.
  • Design and integrate AI-based analysis frameworks (machine learning, deep learning) to enhance traditional CFD and energy modeling capabilities.
  • Conduct simulations using state-of-the-art software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM) and validate results through experimental or real-world data.
  • Lead and contribute to research projects, including proposal writing, project planning, budgeting, and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with international partners, industry stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to drive innovative research outcomes.
  • Publish research findings in reputable international journals, present at conferences, and contribute to the academic community.
  • Mentor and supervise graduate students and junior researchers, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in CFD, AI, and energy research to drive continuous improvement and innovation in project methodologies.

Kualifikasi

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, or STAR-CCM+, including mesh generation and solver customization.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of energy systems, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++ for simulation scripting, data analysis, and algorithm development.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) applied to engineering problems is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of publication in high-impact scientific journals and conference presentations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience in grant writing, project management, and supervising researchers is an advantage.
