Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee day-to-day biosafety operations in BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories conducting infectious disease research.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for experimental protocols involving high-risk pathogens and provide safety recommendations.
- Develop, review, and update biosafety policies, standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Train and certify research personnel on biosafety practices, proper use of personal protective equipment, and waste disposal procedures.
- Ensure compliance with national biosafety regulations and international best practices.
- Coordinate with institutional biosafety committees and regulatory bodies for project approvals and inspections.
- Support the design and implementation of containment measures for new research initiatives.
- Maintain inventory and oversight of biological agents and toxins in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Kualifikasi
- PhD or Master's degree in Microbiology, Virology, Immunology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in infectious disease research, with at least 1 year in a biosafety role.
- Certified Biological Safety Professional (CBSP) or equivalent biosafety certification is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience working in BSL-3 facilities and with high-risk pathogens.
- In-depth knowledge of biosafety regulations (e.g., Singapore MOH, WHO guidelines) and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with ability to engage multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Proven track record in maintaining meticulous safety documentation and reports.
