The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is Singapore's lead public sector agency for research, development, and innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Robotics Development Engineer to join the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC).
In this pivotal role, you will spearhead initiatives in process robotisation, driving innovation within our vibrant R&D ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teamsâincluding research scientists, mechanical designers, and software engineersâto architect and deploy advanced robotic solutions for next-generation manufacturing challenges.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design, develop, and implement robotic systems and solutions for process automation and manufacturing workflows.
- Program and simulate robotic applications using ROS (Robot Operating System), Python, and C++.
- Lead feasibility studies, prototyping, and proof-of-concept demonstrations for new robotic technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, and software) to ensure seamless system integration.
- Conduct rigorous testing, validation, and optimization of robotic performance and reliability.
- Document designs, technical specifications, and project progress for stakeholder reporting.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the advancement of the robotics engineering knowledge base.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in robotic development or industrial automation.
- Strong proficiency in robot programming languages and frameworks (Python, C++, ROS).
- Experience with CAD/Simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Gazebo, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Solid understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and motion control algorithms.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage with industry partners and internal stakeholders.
