In this role, you will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets by developing a robust sales pipeline and nurturing strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. You will be the technical bridge between WAGO and our clients, providing expert consultation on our advanced product range including spring clamp connection technology, industrial interfaces, and automation solutions.

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will provide integrated solutions that enhance our customers' productivity and operational efficiency. Your insights on market trends will directly inform WAGO's strategic direction in Malaysia. This role reports to the Sales Manager and collaborates closely with internal technical support and marketing teams to deliver exceptional value.

Tanggung Jawab

  • Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets for the assigned territory (Northern Malaysia / Penang).
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within key market segments (OEMs, Panel Builders, System Integrators).
  • Conduct technical product presentations and demonstrations to customers, specifiers, and consultants.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing detailed feedback to the management team for strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the internal engineering team to provide customized solutions that meet specific customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports using the company's CRM system.

Kualifikasi

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven sales experience in the industrial automation, electrical components, or similar industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex product solutions.
  • Established network within the Northern Malaysia industrial sector (Penang, Kedah, Perak) is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin proficiency is a plus for engaging with multinational clients).
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a high-performing team.
  • Possess a valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Experience working with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
