Deskripsi Pekerjaan
Are you a visionary Silicon Photonics expert ready to redefine the boundaries of data communication? The Institute of Microelectronics (IME), a premier research institute of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore, is seeking a world-class Senior Scientist I to lead our groundbreaking Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) initiatives. This is more than a job—it is a platform to shape the future of high-speed optical interconnects for AI and cloud computing.
In this pivotal role, you will be the technical lead for designing, simulating, and demonstrating advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). You will have the rare privilege of guiding projects from initial concept through simulation, layout, tape-out, and comprehensive characterization within A*STAR's state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication facilities.
Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team of top-tier scientists, engineers, and global industry partners, you will bridge the gap between fundamental research and industrial application. Your work will directly contribute to Singapore's strategic position as a global hub for advanced packaging and photonics technologies.
We are looking for a proactive researcher with a relentless drive for innovation, a strong publication record, and a passion for mentoring junior scientists. If you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and possess deep technical expertise in silicon photonics, we invite you to drive the next leap in photonic integration with us.
