Are you passionate about shaping the future of urban mobility? The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is looking for a talented (Senior) Scientist to join our Intelligent Transportation Solutions team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technologies specifically designed for modern road charging infrastructures.
As our cities become more connected, the demand for resilient and intelligent navigation systems is at an all-time high. You will work on cutting-edge AI-powered algorithms to ensure road charging systems remain accurate and reliable, even in dense urban environments prone to signal disruptions or multi-path interference. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of world-class researchers and engineers to translate complex research concepts into scalable, real-world intelligent transport applications.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the research, design, and development of robust GNSS algorithms and positioning solutions for road charging applications.
- Engineer AI-driven mitigation techniques to handle signal interference, urban canyons, and multipath environments.
- Design and conduct field testing and data collection campaigns to validate system performance in diverse operational scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate positioning software with hardware modules and intelligent backend systems.
- Publish high-impact research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international transportation conferences.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to technical project planning and grant writing efforts.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and safety protocols for intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
Kualifikasi
- PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Geomatics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Proven track record in GNSS signal processing, sensor fusion, or Kalman filtering techniques.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB for algorithm development and simulation.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and their application in signal denoising or classification is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of urban navigation challenges and modern road pricing/tolling architectures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between complex research and practical implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, research-intensive environment.
