Are you passionate about shaping the future of urban mobility? The Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) at A*STAR is seeking a forward-thinking (Senior) Scientist to join our Intelligent Transportation Solutions team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, developing next-generation urban transport systems that utilize cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and advanced data analytics.
As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will design and implement robust GNSS positioning systems and V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communications to improve traffic efficiency and safety. You will bridge the gap between academic research and real-world deployment, working closely with industry partners and government agencies to build smarter, more sustainable cities in Singapore and beyond.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the research and development of AI-driven intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
- Design and optimize robust GNSS positioning algorithms for urban environments.
- Integrate V2X communication protocols to enhance vehicle safety and traffic coordination.
- Analyze complex transportation datasets to extract actionable insights for urban planners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype and test novel mobility solutions.
- Publish high-impact research papers and represent A*STAR at international technical conferences.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior researchers and engineers.
Kualifikasi
- PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in AI/ML, signal processing, or navigation systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Experience with GNSS/INS integration and Kalman filtering techniques.
- Strong understanding of V2X communication standards (e.g., DSRC, C-V2X).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex R&D projects from concept to deployment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
