As a Senior Scientist in the Target Discovery & Validation group, you will play a critical role in addressing the global burden of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases (CVMD). Leveraging Singapore's world-class research infrastructure, you will lead efforts to identify high-value therapeutic targets and validate them through rigorous experimental frameworks. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and manage strategic research initiatives focused on target discovery and validation within the cardiovascular and metabolic disease therapeutic areas.
- Design and execute complex experimental workflows utilizing CRISPR/Cas9, RNAi, and other state-of-the-art molecular biology tools to validate novel therapeutic candidates.
- Analyze and interpret large-scale multi-omics datasets, including NGS and transcriptomics, to identify key disease drivers and pathways.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, and pharmacology to drive drug discovery projects forward.
- Establish and optimize cell-based assays and disease-relevant in vitro/ex vivo models to evaluate the efficacy of RNA therapeutics.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of NATi by scouting for emerging technologies and therapeutic trends in the nucleic acid space.
- Present research findings at top-tier international conferences and publish results in high-impact scientific journals.
- Mentor junior scientists and research officers, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and continuous learning.
Kualifikasi
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline with a strong focus on Cardiovascular or Metabolic research.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in drug discovery, target validation, or translational medicine.
- Extensive expertise in RNA biology and experience working with nucleic acid-based therapeutic modalities (ASOs, siRNA, or mRNA).
- Proven track record of scientific achievement, demonstrated by a strong publication record or successful project milestones in an industry setting.
- Advanced proficiency in genomic editing technologies (CRISPR/Cas9) and cell-based assay development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex biological data independently.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with the drug development pipeline and regulatory requirements for biotherapeutics is a plus.
