Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in a child's educational journey? PT ProEducation Indonesia is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Shadow Teacher to join our team in Kuta Utara, Bali. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing 1-on-1 support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can participate fully and successfully within an inclusive classroom environment.
As a Shadow Teacher, you will bridge the gap between the student's unique learning requirements and the standard curriculum. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement personalized learning plans, foster social development, and build the student's academic confidence. We are looking for someone who is not only patient and observant but also proactive in creating a positive, safe, and stimulating atmosphere for every student they support.
Tanggung Jawab
- Provide direct, 1-on-1 instructional support to assigned students during classroom activities.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the student's specific learning and social needs.
- Assist students in developing essential social skills and positive peer interactions.
- Monitor student progress and maintain daily reports to communicate effectively with parents and educators.
- Facilitate a smooth transition for the student between different school activities and subjects.
- Collaborate with the primary classroom teacher to modify materials and teaching strategies for better accessibility.
- Maintain a supportive and patient demeanor to manage behavioral challenges constructively.
- Ensure the student’s safety and well-being throughout the school day.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with children with special needs or in an inclusive education setting.
- Strong command of English and Indonesian, both verbal and written.
- Excellent patience, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching styles and strategies to individual student needs.
- Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
- Background in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) or similar therapeutic approaches is a strong advantage.
- Passionate about inclusive education and child development.
