Freshtel Internet is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join our expanding network operations team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be the backbone of our infrastructure, ensuring that our telecommunications network delivers high-speed, stable, and reliable internet services to thousands of customers.
As a Site Engineer, you will manage the lifecycle of our network sites—from installation and commissioning to routine maintenance and emergency troubleshooting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues, optimize site performance, and ensure strict compliance with safety and industry standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of telecommunications network hardware and equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and site inspections to ensure 99.9% network uptime and reliability.
- Conduct on-site troubleshooting and rapid restoration of network outages, minimizing impact on service delivery.
- Monitor site performance metrics and generate technical reports to assist in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to execute site improvements and hardware replacements.
- Ensure all site activities strictly adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and internal corporate policies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of site configurations, inventory lists, and maintenance history.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in telecommunications site engineering or field operations.
- Strong technical understanding of RF, fiber optics, power systems (UPS/Generators), and transmission equipment.
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair network hardware issues in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external field contractors.
- Proficiency in using site management software and technical diagnostic tools.
- Willingness to travel locally within the Kuala Lumpur area and work flexible hours when required.
