We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Site Engineer (Mechanical) to join our dynamic project team in Kuching, Sarawak. As a vital member of our engineering division, you will be responsible for the seamless coordination and technical oversight of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installations on-site. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design blueprints and site execution, ensuring that all mechanical systems are implemented to the highest safety and quality standards.
You will work closely with subcontractors, project managers, and clients to troubleshoot site issues, track progress, and ensure that our infrastructure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) site activities to ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Interpret complex mechanical drawings and technical specifications to ensure accurate site installation.
- Supervise subcontractors and site personnel to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report on progress, quality control, and potential bottlenecks.
- Ensure all mechanical works strictly adhere to local safety regulations and company health and safety (HSE) policies.
- Collaborate with project engineers and architects to resolve technical discrepancies encountered during construction.
- Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily progress reports, material logs, and RFIs.
- Manage the procurement and quality assessment of mechanical materials and equipment delivered to the site.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in site supervision, preferably within the construction or M&E sectors.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting M&E construction drawings and CAD software.
- Solid understanding of Malaysian building standards, codes of practice, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead onsite teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight project deadlines.
- Possession of valid professional certifications (e.g., BEM/IEM) is highly regarded.
- Willingness to be based permanently in or relocate to Kuching, Sarawak.
