Our Singapore manufacturing facility is at the heart of our operations, and we are seeking a talented and motivated SMT Engineering Technician to join our team on the Night Shift.
As an SMT Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our high-volume Surface Mount Technology production lines. Working with state-of-the-art SMT equipment, your primary focus will be on providing technical support to production operators, monitoring process cycle times, and maintaining the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment faults, performing changeovers, and optimizing processes to maximize yield and throughput. Working closely with the engineering and production teams, you will identify and implement actions to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics manufacturing, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform daily setup, changeover, and optimization of SMT equipment (solder paste printer, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens).
- Provide real-time technical support to production staff to ensure output and quality targets are achieved.
- Monitor process cycle times, analyze defects through SPI/AOI data, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and troubleshoot machine faults to reduce downtime.
- Assist in qualifying new components, fixtures, and materials for the SMT line.
- Collaborate with engineers on continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or NITEC in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an SMT manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of SMT processes, solder paste characteristics, and component soldering techniques.
- Experience with high-speed placement machines (e.g., Fuji, Panasonic, ASM) is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Willing and able to work a permanent Night Shift schedule (e.g., 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
