Luxoft is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer specializing in COBOL 400 and Host Integration to join our elite team supporting a premier Asian banking institution. This is a unique opportunity to work within a global network spanning 19 countries, contributing to the stability and evolution of mission-critical banking systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, and integration of core mainframe applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow between legacy host systems and modern digital banking infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of AS/400 environments and a passion for high-performance computing in the financial services sector.

Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, maintain, and optimize core banking applications using COBOL 400 and AS/400 (iSeries) environments.
- Design and implement robust host integration solutions to connect legacy systems with modern web/API-based services.
- Perform comprehensive unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure system integrity and security.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate complex banking requirements into technical specifications.
- Support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for mainframe-related projects, from design to production deployment.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, providing rapid resolution to minimize downtime for critical banking services.
- Maintain technical documentation for all system modifications and architectural enhancements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in COBOL development within an AS/400 (IBM i) environment.
- Proven expertise in host integration technologies and batch processing.
- Strong understanding of banking domain processes and regulatory compliance standards.
- Experience with DB2/400 and SQL for data management within the mainframe environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on system performance and stability.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential for cross-border collaboration.
