We are seeking a highly collaborative and technically proficient Software Engineer II to join our Google Pay and Wallet team.
In this role, you will be part of a globally-connected engineering group that powers the financial experiences of millions across the globe. You will work on massive-scale distributed systems, tackling complex challenges in security, scalability, and user experience. Tanggung Jawab
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software components for Google Pay and Wallet across mobile and web platforms.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with a focus on quality and impact.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to define and build innovative new features.
- Build highly scalable, secure, and reliable backend distributed systems to handle millions of transactions daily.
- Write and review technical documentation, design documents, and code for the team.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and ensure high availability and robustness.
- Contribute to the architecture and roadmap of next-generation payment solutions in the APAC region.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and implement stringent security and privacy standards.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, Go).
- 1 year of experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience building large-scale distributed systems and familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive results.
- Familiarity with payment systems, NFC technology, or the fintech industry is a strong plus.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., GCP) and database systems (e.g., Spanner, Bigtable) is preferred.
