Within our Mobility Rail division, we are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our Passenger Information Systems (PIS) team. Your Role & Impact
As a Software Engineer in this team, you will be at the heart of our mission to enhance the passenger experience through reliable, high-performance software. You will work on the full software development lifecycle, from system architecture and design through implementation, testing, and commissioning. Tanggung Jawab
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software modules for Passenger Information Systems (PIS) deployed in complex rail environments, ensuring high reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Develop robust real-time embedded software or scalable backend services using C++, C#, Java, or Python.
- Implement and optimize communication protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT, HTTP) between central control systems, onboard train units, and station equipment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Systems Engineering, Hardware, QA, Project Management) to define and refine system requirements and technical architecture.
- Conduct rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and support System Validation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Troubleshoot, root-cause analyze, and resolve complex software defects and performance bottlenecks in both development and live production environments.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including software design specifications, API documentation, and system user guides.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies (edge computing, AI/ML for predictive maintenance) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on software development experience in a product engineering environment.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and at least one of C# or Java. Practical experience with Python is a significant plus.
- Proven experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), Embedded Linux, or Windows embedded development.
- Solid understanding of core networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, HTTP).
- Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, structured problem-solving, and systematic debugging skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience in the Railway, Mass Transit, Industrial Automation, or IoT domain is a highly valued advantage.
