- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Android engineers focused on the Google Wallet app, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Define the technical vision, roadmap, and architecture for key features within the payments ecosystem, ensuring high scalability, performance, and security.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, UX, Privacy, Security) to define requirements and deliver complex projects with precision and on schedule.
- Drive the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to testing and deployment, adhering to Google's high standards of code quality and reliability.
- Champion best practices in Android development, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to improve team velocity and product stability.
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to payment security, NFC integration, and offline capabilities.
- Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and performance management to build a diverse and robust engineering organization.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in software engineering management, directly leading teams of mobile engineers, specifically Android.
- Extensive experience in Android development using Kotlin and Java, with a deep understanding of the Android SDK, modern architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture), and performance optimization.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, consumer-facing mobile applications at massive scale.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and mobile security best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and strategy across teams.
- Experience in the payments, fintech, or security domains is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of privacy regulations and security standards governing the mobile payments industry.
