Celestica is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software SDK/SONiC Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Penang. In this role, you will be at the forefront of open networking technology, specializing in porting and integrating Software Development Kits (SDKs) across diverse Network Operating Systems (NOS), with a primary focus on SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud).
As a key member of our global R&D division, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and deliver platform-level software for high-performance network switches. You will bridge the gap between physical switch hardware and NOS layers, enabling modern datacenters to scale efficiently. Tanggung Jawab
- Port, develop, and optimize SDKs for next-generation network switches under various Network Operating Systems, primarily SONiC.
- Implement and integrate Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI) adapters to align hardware capabilities with network software.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to perform initial platform bring-up, debugging, and validation.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system-level bugs, hardware-software interface issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Contribute actively to open-source communities (e.g., SONiC / Open Compute Project) and align internal developments with upstream repositories.
- Develop automated scripts, test benches, and tooling to streamline continuous integration and testing of SDK/NOS releases.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in embedded systems software development utilizing C/C++ and Python.
- Proven expertise in Network Operating Systems (NOS), with practical experience in SONiC, ONIE, or Cumulus Linux.
- Strong background in Linux kernel development, device driver design, and hardware-software interaction.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern networking concepts, including L2/L3 switching protocols, TCP/IP, and BGP routing.
- Familiarity with Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI) APIs and Broadcom/Barefoot/Mellanox SDKs is highly advantageous.
- Excellent collaborative skills and capability to work effectively within an Agile global development team.
