About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Support Engineer / Application Support Engineer to provide expert-level support for our suite of trading and post-trade applications. You will be working in a hybrid capacity, based in our Makati City office with the flexibility of working remotely most of the time, coming onsite just twice a month.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of our production environments. You will be front and center when incidents occur, leveraging your deep technical expertise to diagnose issues, restore services, and prevent future occurrences. This role requires a proactive individual who can not only react to issues but also improve our monitoring, automation, and documentation.

From troubleshooting database performance and analyzing network logs to scripting automation solutions and collaborating with global development teams, your days will be varied, challenging, and rewarding. You will own critical incidents from detection to resolution, communicating effectively with stakeholders and maintaining comprehensive runbooks.

Tanggung Jawab

  • Provide level 2 and 3 application support for critical trading and back-office systems.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production incidents.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability, proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve complex software bugs and system enhancements.
  • Manage incident lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
  • Automate routine tasks and improve system monitoring through scripting and configuration.
  • Participate in disaster recovery drills and ensure business continuity processes are robust.

Kualifikasi

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in application support or software support engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and command-line tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and incident management processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
