- Develop, curate, and continuously refine a sophisticated wine list that enhances the modern Greek dining experience at Avli.
- Provide expert and personalized wine recommendations to guests, ensuring an exceptional and memorable service.
- Manage all aspects of wine inventory, including procurement, stock rotation, storage, and cellar maintenance to ensure optimal conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive wine training for the service team, elevating their knowledge, service standards, and confidence in recommending wines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wine trends, regions, vintages, and producers, with a strong understanding of Greek and Mediterranean wines.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless food and wine pairings.
- Achieve departmental sales targets for wine and other beverages, contributing to the restaurant's overall profitability.
- Oversee proper glassware and wine service equipment maintenance.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
- Possession of a recognized Sommelier certification (e.g., WSET Level 3, Court of Master Sommeliers Certified Sommelier, or equivalent).
- Exceptional knowledge of international wine regions, varietals, vintages, and cellaring techniques, with a passion for Greek and Mediterranean wines.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to engage and educate guests eloquently.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a service team.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in inventory management software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic luxury environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a plus.
