Renesas is expanding its Malaysia Regional Procurement team to support back-end semiconductor manufacturing operations. As a Senior Procurement/Purchasing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services essential to our semiconductor production facilities in Penang.
In this pivotal position, you will own the end-to-end procurement process for designated categories, from strategic sourcing and supplier selection to contract negotiation and purchase order management. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including engineering, production planning, and finance teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
Your expertise will drive significant value through supplier relationship management, cost optimization initiatives, and continuous improvement programs. Tanggung Jawab
- Own and execute procurement activities for assigned categories, including raw materials, components, and production supplies
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery performance
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing operations
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Conduct market analysis and supplier research to identify new sourcing opportunities and alternatives
- Manage purchase order processing, tracking, and resolution of discrepancies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management roles
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier contract negotiations
- Experience in manufacturing or semiconductor industry is highly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across departments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent is an added advantage
