We are seeking a Staff Engineer, Product Software to join our high-performing Software Architecture & Engineering team in Singapore. In this high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role, you will act as both a strategic visionary and a deeply engaged individual contributor. You will drive the architecture, design, and implementation of highly scalable, resilient, and performant distributed systems. You will be the go-to authority for complex technical challenges, defining the systems that underpin our global interconnection platform.
You will work closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams across the globe to define and execute the technical roadmap. A core part of your role will be to set technical direction, establish and promote engineering best practices, and mentor a team of talented engineers to help them reach their full potential.
As a key member of the Software Architecture & Engineering team, you will directly tackle the most challenging technical problems in the organization. Your contributions will range from designing core systems and data models to writing robust production code and reviewing the work of your peers. The systems you build will directly enable the seamless interconnection of the world's leading clouds, networks, and enterprises.

- Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and design for Equinix's next-generation interconnection and SDN platform.
- Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant distributed software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, and Hardware to define and execute the product roadmap.
- Drive engineering excellence by establishing best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Mentor and guide a global team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical growth.
- Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technologies to solve complex infrastructure and networking challenges.
- Contribute to the long-term technology vision and roadmap for the global Software Architecture & Engineering organization.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a Staff, Principal, or equivalent high-level technical role.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or C++.
- Extensive experience architecting and building large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of SDN, network virtualization, or cloud infrastructure technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack).
- Proven track record of delivering complex software projects from concept through design, implementation, and production operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines in a production environment.
