We are currently seeking a highly skilled Staff Product Engineer to join our team in Penang, Malaysia. This role is critical in ensuring product continuity and excellence after mass production.
As a Staff Product Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the complete product lifecycle, from post-production optimization to end-of-life transitions. You will be responsible for resolving complex production and customer-related technical challenges while driving continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer support to ensure our semiconductor products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and quality. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance product yield, reduce costs, and accelerate time-to-market.
Key focus areas include sustaining engineering activities, failure analysis, root cause investigation, and implementing corrective actions. You will also be responsible for maintaining technical documentation, providing expert support to customers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Tanggung Jawab
- Manage product lifecycle activities including production continuity, phase-out planning, and end-of-life transitions
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues, customer complaints, and field failures through systematic root cause analysis
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and yield optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, customer support) to ensure seamless product sustainment
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, process specifications, and quality standards
- Provide expert technical support to customers and internal stakeholders regarding product performance and troubleshooting
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality policies
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or sustaining engineering roles within the semiconductor or electronics industry
- Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) methodologies and practices
- Proven experience in root cause analysis, failure analysis, and problem-solving techniques (8D, Six Sigma, or similar)
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes, assembly, and test operations
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose data-driven solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
