You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and optimize die sets for precision stamping applications. Your responsibilities will include reviewing technical specifications, ensuring dimensional accuracy, and revising layouts to enhance manufacturing efficiency. By liaising closely with process engineers and material scientists, you'll research and implement advanced materials and techniques that push the boundaries of metal forming technology. - Collaborate with design teams to conceptualize innovative metal stamping solutions
- Design and develop precision die sets for complex metal forming applications
- Review technical specifications and ensure dimensional accuracy of tooling designs
- Revise layouts and optimize designs for manufacturability and efficiency
- Liaise with engineers to integrate tooling requirements into production systems
- Research and evaluate new materials and processes for tooling enhancement
- Validate designs through prototyping and testing phases
- Document design processes and maintain comprehensive technical records
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in metal stamping tooling design
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred)
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Experience with GD&T and geometric tolerance principles
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
