As a Strategic Sourcing Engineer, you will be instrumental in optimizing our global cost structure and ensuring the highest quality standards from our diverse supplier base. You will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of commodities, working closely with engineering to ensure seamless integration of new products. You will own key strategic initiatives, from validating supplier costs and conducting rigorous market benchmarks to negotiating favorable payment terms and managing supplier performance metrics. - Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for direct and indirect materials, ensuring optimal total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Validate and benchmark cost submissions from suppliers, seeking necessary approvals and driving cost reduction roadmaps.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, pricing, and payment terms with key suppliers to improve cash flow and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, conducting regular business reviews and performance assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to align sourcing strategies with product development and manufacturing requirements.
- Monitor global market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain risks to proactively mitigate disruptions and capitalize on opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, leveraging data analytics and ERP systems to enhance efficiency and visibility.
- Manage the sourcing lifecycle from RFQ/RFP to contract award, ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical discipline). A Master's Degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of delivering cost savings, improving payment terms, and optimizing supplier performance.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a deep understanding of TCO principles and market analysis.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QAD) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros).
- Knowledge of international logistics, trade compliance, and quality standards (ISO, AS9100) is highly desirable.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment. Willingness to travel as required.
