Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and execute the structural analysis and design of high-rise buildings (up to 50+ stories and beyond) and complex building structures, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Develop detailed structural engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications using cutting-edge software like ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, and Revit Structure.
- Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical & electrical engineers, and quantity surveyors to integrate structural designs seamlessly into the overall building project, resolving complex interface issues.
- Take ownership of the design process from concept through to construction, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers and draftspersons within the team.
- Conduct structural assessments and peer reviews for existing structures and new design proposals to validate robustness, constructability, and cost-efficiency.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to present designs, obtain approvals, and resolve site-related structural challenges.
- Champion value engineering initiatives by optimizing designs for cost, material efficiency, and sustainability without compromising structural integrity or performance.
- Stay abreast of evolving industry standards, materials, and construction technologies, actively contributing to the firm's technical knowledge base and best practice guides.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university. A Master’s Degree is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of proven professional experience specifically in the structural design of high-rise and/or complex building projects.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) status with BEM, or actively working towards registration, is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, RAM Concept) and 3D BIM modeling tools (Revit, Navisworks, Tekla).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian building codes (MS, UBBL) and international standards (Eurocodes, BS, ACI, ASCE).
- Strong problem-solving aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to quality and safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written in English & Bahasa Malaysia) for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Proven experience in leading a small team or coordinating multidisciplinary project work packages.
