Keppel Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to join our expanding operations in Sedenak, Johor. As an SME, you will serve as the technical authority, ensuring that our projects adhere to the highest international safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal sustainability goals.
In this critical role, you will lead the implementation of safety management systems, perform rigorous risk assessments, and drive a culture of excellence in workplace safety across our local operations. You will act as the primary point of contact for HSE-related initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency within the energy and resources sector.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems compliant with local regulations and Keppel global standards.
- Lead technical risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses to ensure continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Provide expert advisory support to project teams regarding HSE compliance during construction and operational phases.
- Monitor and report on HSE KPIs, conducting regular site audits and inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards.
- Lead safety training programs and workshops to foster a proactive safety culture across the organization.
- Ensure full compliance with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) Malaysia regulations and other relevant statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage environmental impact assessments and sustainability reporting.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in HSE management, preferably within the energy, mining, or heavy construction industry.
- Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with NIOSH Malaysia certification is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of Malaysian safety legislation, including OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a technical mindset capable of simplifying complex safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in incident management software and data analysis tools.
