Tanggung Jawab
- Prepare and plate sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and strict presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in full compliance with local food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in inventory management, including the proper receiving, storing, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and seamless operations during peak hours.
- Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients daily, reporting any discrepancies or needs to the head chef immediately.
- Keep the sushi station well-stocked with necessary tools, garnishes, and supplies at all times.
- Train junior kitchen staff on proper preparation techniques, knife skills, and safety protocols.
Kualifikasi
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience as a Sushi Chef or Cook in a reputable restaurant or establishment.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, traditional ingredients, and preparation techniques.
- Certification in food handling and safety (e.g., TESDA or local government certification).
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Excellent knife skills and a keen eye for detail in plating and garnishing.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Physically able to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment.
